Firefly: Watch How I Soar, a graphic novel based on Joss Whedon’s cult classic sci-fi western series Firefly, will arrive wherever books are sold in November 2020. The comic will reveal the untold stories of Hoban “Wash” Washburne, portrayed by Alan Tudyk on-screen.
Watch How I Soar will feature the work of Ethan Young and Jorge Corona, and according to the press release from BOOM!, will both answer questions that have been asked been fans as well as include some shocking revelations.
The television series Firefly originally premiered on Fox in 2002, and after having its episodes aired out of order by the network, it was canceled in less than one season. However, the show quickly attained cult status, and in addition to the 14 episodes produced for the small screen, Universal Studios released a sequel movie, Serenity, in theaters in 2005.
Watch How I Soar will join the Firefly comics and graphic novels that have been previously released by BOOM! Studios.

Created by Whedon and set 500 years in the future in the wake of a universal civil war,FIREFLY centers on the crew of Serenity, a small transport spaceship that doesn’t have a planet to call home. Captain Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds, a defeated soldier who opposed the unification of the planets by the totalitarian governed Alliance, will undertake any job — legal or not — to stay afloat and keep his crew fed. Thrust together by necessity but staying together out of loyalty, these disparate men and women are seeking adventure and the good life, but face constant challenges on the new frontier, such as avoiding capture by the Alliance, and evading the dangers you find on the fringes of the universe.
